Bible Study on Hope and Spiritual Maturity
Sojourn: Flourishing on Earth, Yearning for Heaven, from Yarrow by Precept
Have you ever looked around and thought to yourself... “There must be something more”?
This sentiment speaks to the desire for meaning beyond just yourself—a hope... a longing that nothing in this world can satisfy. Deep within you is a yearning, an understanding that you were created for more than just this earthly existence.
You were made for eternity, designed to be in perfect relationship with your Heavenly Father. One day, you will see your God face to face, and you will finally be “home,” where every longing will be fulfilled.
You were made for hope.
But for now, you are an exile in a world that is not your home, facing tension and questions that come with this reality.
So how do you live as a faithful Christian in this world, in light of its broken culture? Do you isolate yourself and try to recreate heaven on earth? Or do you learn to adapt? How can you flourish? And what does the Bible really say about hope?
Discover the answers with Sojourn: Flourishing on Earth, Yearning for Heaven, a Bible study on hope and the first part of a series on faithful living.
You'll trace the theme of exiles throughout Scripture, exploring the narratives of Christians who have walked this path before us. And you'll discover how to live faithfully with spiritual maturity in the present while longing for your true heavenly home.
Along the way, you’ll also explore spiritual maturity verses that will guide you in your journey. You'll examine these Scriptures on maturity alongside Bible passages about hope and faith—answering that pressing question: "What does the Bible say about hope?" That way, you can know how to live as a flourishing believer in this broken world.
Join us on this transformative journey through Bible readings on hope... and flourish in your faith as you foster a yearning for the hope of your eternal home.

What do you do in a Yarrow Bible Study?
Yarrow by Precept helps guide you through the Bible so you can know what it says—and what it means for your actual life.
God gave you the Bible with big-picture truths about humanity, life, and Himself. The answers you seek aren’t found in step-by-step instructions, but in knowing God through Scripture. As your relationship with Him grows, so does your ability to see the world and your life through His eyes.
With Yarrow, you’ll find a hands-on approach to Bible study called inductive Bible study. And you’ll discover how to slow down and engage with both the familiar and confusing parts of Scripture in a new way. To help you explore Scripture for yourself, you'll be guided through the Precept Bible Study Method of observation, interpretation, and application.
